Happy New Year!

The New Year draws on many emotions! We reflect on our past and attempt to plan our future. For most of us, it feels as if we are wiping the slate clean. We have another chance to get things right or accomplish a certain goal.

What does it mean if you did not pass the ASVAB exam in 2019? Of course, it means disappointment! It also means that this is the time to re-evaluate your personal commitment to the goal, your ASVAB study techniques, and your ASVAB test taking strategy.

When you begin your self-assessment, please be honest! Here are some of the questions that you should ask:

  • Did I begin preparing for the exam several months in advance or did I try to cram at the last minute?
  • Did I study every day or just sporadically?
  • Did I seek out a tutor for the difficult subject areas?
  • Did I perform at least 2-3 practice test so that I could feel comfortable on exam day?
  • Am I truly committed to passing the ASVAB exam?

The answer to these questions should suggest your next course of action. Remember, New Year means new beginnings. Preparation is the key to success.
